takeCHARGE Insulation Rebate (Newfoundland & Labrador)
takeCHARGE (Newfoundland Power + NL Hydro) pays 75% of insulation material costs — up to $1,000 each for the attic and basement, plus up to $500 labour per area with a participating professional installer, for a potential $3,000 total. Paid as a credit on your electricity bill.

Who qualifies
- ✓Homeowner with an active electricity account; primary heat is electric (or you use ≥15,000 kWh/yr with supplemental heat)
- ✓Home built and connected before January 1, 2014; permanent foundation; primary residence
- ✓CSA-approved insulation reaching post-install minimums: attic R-50, basement R-21, crawlspace R-21

Stacking with other programs
takeCHARGE also offers an air-sealing rebate (up to $500, based on measured leakage improvement), an HRV rebate ($225) and a duct-insulation rebate (50% up to $500). Note: takeCHARGE has NO standalone heat pump or windows rebate — common stale claims on other sites.
