Every Nova Scotia homeowner can get up to $5,000 through Efficiency NS's Home Energy Assessment rebates; moderate-income households can double that to $10,000, and income-qualified households get free upgrades (including heat pumps) through HomeWarming. Aimed at low- and median-income households currently heating with oil. Deadline: the last day to apply is July 31, 2026 (documents due January 31, 2027; program closes March 31, 2027).
